Konvertible Child Garden City Cordoba – Cali Colombia

Con esta idea seguimos trabajando conjuntamente con organizaciones públicas y privadas para dotar y acondicionar los espacios de los 25 hogares comunitarios que se encuentran en el barrio Ciudad Córdoba de Cali, Colombia. IMAGE

Los Hogares Comunitarios de Bienestar Familiar son un programa social del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar (ICBF) que brinda una atención a la niñez vulnerable entre 0 y 6 años, afincados en los sectores menos favorecidos de las ciudades colombianas. Los Hogares Comunitarios desarrollan su actividad en las residencias de las Madres Comunitarias, en donde atienden alrededor de 14 niños durante 8 horas diarias. Es así como los hogares familiares se transforman durante el día para el cuidado de los niños. A cambio de este servicio social, las Madres Comunitarias reciben una remuneración que no alcanza a ser igual que un salario mínimo colombiano (220€).
Aunque ICBF facilita ciertos elementos que ayudan al desarrollo de esta actividad, no alcanza a suplir todas las necesidades que se producen dentro del Hogar Comunitario. Una de esas necesidades es, por ejemplo, la ausencia de mobiliario para que puedan desarrollar una actividad con los niños, y que se ajuste de igual modo a la vida familiar. Por ello se diseñó un mobiliario que posee la cualidad de estar en el mismo espacio y responder a dos necesidades diferentes. El mobiliario estaba conformado por:
- La estantería para guardar el material pedagógico que al mismo tiempo es una pizarra en la parte trasera; esto gracias a que posee ruedas en la base facilitando la movilidad de la misma.
- Los muebles sofá se comportan como contenedores para guardar juguetes y objetos de los niños como maletines y otras pertenencias.
- Las mesas de trabajo de los niños que parten formalmente de un cubo para ahorrar espacio, despliegan las alas de la mesa en el momento de ser utilizadas. Las respectivas butacas se guardan en el interior de las mesas.
- Las colchonetas donde los niños duermen la siesta sirven también de puzzle, ya que los chicos construyen su espacio donde dormir.

Community homes begin their work in the 80's, in Colombia this program was designed to provide care for vulnerable children aged 0 to 6 years, based in the most disadvantaged sectors of Colombian cities. Community homes are active in nursing mothers themselves, so they are starting to become family homes for the care of children during the day "darecare". In exchange for this social service receive a salary not enough and be like a minimum wage in Colombia.
ICBF (Colombian Family Welfare Institute), provides some elements that help the development of this activity, but not enough to meet all the needs that occur within the home community. One of those needs, for example, is the absence of furniture so they can develop an activity in the nursery and fits equally to family life.
That's why it was used a furniture has the quality to meet and be in both places to live with the two requirements, first in the space of the nursery and family area, entering into a communion of needs and functionality with two a single space.
The furniture consists of a shelf to store teaching materials and the rear is a slate, thanks to the base has wheels to facilitate mobility of it.
Sofa furniture behave as containers for storing toys and children's items such as briefcases and be belongings
The working groups of youngsters who formally leave a bucket to save space, be used when the wings unfold and the table becomes a table with their respective seats are stored inside them.
The pads whose function is to take a nap puzzle also serve as the kids build their space to sleep.With this idea we are working together with public and private organizations to provide, and equip the space of 25 community homes that are in the neighborhood of Córdoba city in Cali, Colombia. IMAGE
